Since 1975, New Holland Tire, Inc. has had a strong presence in the commercial truck tire retreading industry. While retreading is our specialty, we also offer a large inventory of new commercial truck and trailer tires. With 2 retread plants, one in Terre Hill PA and one in Sumner GA, we are able to supply many major intermodal companies with top-of-the-line retreads and new tires, but also supply many smaller companies and owner-operators with their tire needs. Our Pennsylvania location also has a full service shop.

WHAT IS A RETREAD? A retread, or "recap," is a previously-worn tire which has gone through a remanufacturing process designed to extend its useful service life.
Retreading starts with a safety inspection of the tire. The old tread is then buffed away, and a new rubber tread is applied to the bare "casing" using specialized machinery.
Retreads are significantly cheaper than new tires. As a result, they are widely used in large-scale operations such as trucking, bussing and commercial aviation. They are also the most environmentally friendly way of recycling used tires.
